I am a Biochemist specialized in cellular microbiology and bacterial infection with more than 10 years of research experience and a passion for quantitative microscopy and microfluidics. I am particularly interested in developing new imaging and analysis tools to unravel bacterial pathogenicity and host response, in order to tackle world health threatening infectious diseases.

 

After completing my Ph.D on mycobacterial infection in the laboratory of Prof. Thierry Soldati at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), I joined the laboratory of Prof. Serge Mostowy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK) to work with Shigella flexneri.

After receiving the prestigious ERC Starting Grant in 2026, I will start my lab in the Department of Cell Physiology and Metabolism at the University of Geneva, working on how cells defend themselves against infection.
